In July 2026, the Chambers of the Federation, comprised of CEOs of Canada’s provincial and territorial chambers of commerce, released a joint policy framework to the Council of the Federation. The framework identifies 10 practical actions that governments can advance over the next 12–24 months to strengthen internal trade, labour mobility, infrastructure, and economic competitiveness across the country.

Rather than broad aspirations, this agenda focuses on implementation—establishing clear timelines, accountability measures, and concrete next steps that align provincial and federal efforts around shared economic priorities.
