How to Support Saskatchewan Wildfire Evacuees
June 4, 2025
Wildfires continue to displace individuals and families across northern Saskatchewan, forcing many to evacuate their homes and seek shelter in communities throughout the province. The Canadian Red Cross is leading the coordinated emergency response.
In partnership with Indigenous leadership and all levels of government, the Red Cross is providing critical support—ranging from emergency accommodations and meals to personal services and financial assistance. Their Saskatchewan Fires Appeal is the most direct and effective way to support wildfire evacuees across the province. Funds will also support recovery, rebuilding, and disaster preparedness initiatives in affected communities.
The Government of Canada will match donations to the Canadian Red Cross 2025 Saskatchewan Wildfires Appeal from May 30 to June 29, 2025. Every $1 donated will become $2 to support the families and individuals most affected by the wildfires.
