Saskatchewan Chamber welcomes new Ministries and new Cabinet.
The announcement of a new Cabinet and the changes in Ministries will add additional focus on trade and export, Indigenous engagement and Northern Saskatchewan.
“These changes clearly indicate what this government, led by Premier Scott Moe, plans to focus on. Saskatchewan is very reliant upon exports, and additional focus on this sector of our economy will build on the positive efforts from businesses, STEP, and the Ministry of the Economy. The other great news is prioritizing Indigenous communities and opportunities in the north, which fits in well with the recommendations from our work with the Northern Business Task Force,” said Steve McLellan, CEO of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce.
“We look forward to learning more about the specifics within the mandates of these two new Ministries, and to ensure that the voice of Saskatchewan business is clearly part of their future,” said McLellan.
“The Saskatchewan people were very well served by the efforts and leadership of outgoing Cabinet members Steven Bonk, Nancy Heppner, Herb Cox, and Larry Doke and on behalf of the members of the business community, we thank them for their past leadership and continued commitment to the province,” said McLellan.
