Beginner English

Learn More

You will learn basic English for everyday life. You will learn to speak in English, ask questions, write short sentences, and read simple texts. You must be able to say and write a few sentences about yourself. You need to be able to read simple instructions and questions. This is an online class, so you must know how to use a computer. The teacher will meet you in Zoom three times each week. Expect 3-5 hours of homework each week.

Through the Language Centre’s English for Business Purposes course, participants across the province will learn language and presentation skills that can help them achieve career goals and thrive professionally in Saskatchewan’s and in Canada’s business environment.

The partnership between the SCC and USask Language Centre is part of a suite of programs that Saskatchewan’s network of chambers is building through the Training and Employment Network to provide clear and locally coordinated pathways for workers to be identified, as well as to present learning opportunities that enhance skills for employers.
