The Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce is the only provincially-minded chamber in Saskatchewan – owned by business, for business. By becoming a member, you help strengthen our voice as we work to make Saskatchewan the best place to live, work and invest.
Build connections with the business community
“The biggest value I have gotten from being a member of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce has definitely been having those opportunities to create connections with like-minded business professionals and entrepreneurs through their incredible events.” – Jolene Watson, Clarity Coaching & Development
We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for building business relationships. Through the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, you’ll be presented with frequent opportunities to connect with members of the Saskatchewan business community across all industries.
By attending our series of virtual and in-person events, you’ll get face time with Saskatchewan’s business leaders, decision-makers, government, and elected officials.
To ensure accessibility to events no matter where you are in Saskatchewan, several of our in-person events will now be held in a hybrid format – offering a virtual attendance option. Whether you’re tuning in from Saskatoon or La Ronge, you’ll have the same opportunity to share your thoughts and connect with your peers at our celebrated Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce events.
Gain business exposure
“Being involved is the number one recommendation to anyone that’s going to join. It’s easy to sign up and be a member but go to the events and be a participant and offer your services and skills where you can and really be involved – that’s where your value will come.” – Dean Clark, Greenwave Innovations
As a business, it’s important to be seen and heard. The Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce serves as a direct link to getting your brand and business in front of hundreds of businesses across Saskatchewan.
We offer numerous opportunities to reach your desired audience in Saskatchewan – be it large corporations, non-profits or small businesses – through event sponsorships, online membership listings and advertisements. Whether you’re a startup or an established company, we have opportunities for everyone.
Do you want to affirm that you are a thought leader in your industry? We also invite members to participate as special guests at events such as our Energy Series and Thought Leadership Hubs to share their experience, expertise, and brand with the Saskatchewan business community.
Be connected to policymakers and engage in advocacy efforts
“I encourage any business in Saskatchewan to be part of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce. You’ll be part of an organization that really goes to bat for business in Saskatchewan, provides a lot of good learning opportunities, great opportunities to network with different business leaders in the province – and they really do have your back.” – Ryan Hillstead, Grant Thornton LLP
The Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce has built deep-rooted connections with provincial and federal policymakers for over 100 years – resulting in a strong reputation of proven influence in our community.
While we approach various levels of government to ensure our business community is heard, we also frequently have policymakers approach our organization seeking input on your needs.
As a member of the Chamber, we offer opportunities to be involved in our advocacy work, as well as a channel to gain access to policy matters. From taxation and the labour market to the low-carbon economy and business competitiveness, you can contribute to important work that affects the entire Saskatchewan business community.
The Chamber will advocate on your behalf as a member of the business community to ensure your voice is heard and your business issues are addressed.
We keep our finger on the pulse of policy and current events so that we are always ahead of the curve – enabling us to act on issues and stay up to date so that you don’t always have to be.
Develop your knowledge and build new skills
Whether you’re seeking information on a new government program or looking to gain industry insights from your peers, the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce offers a wide range of learning opportunities at your fingertips.
Our Thought Leadership Hubs and Energy On Tap events offer informal ways to learn about current opportunities, challenges and innovations.
Through partnerships with Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s School of Continuing Education, Southeast College, Business Wise Coaching, the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina’s Centre for Continuing Education, we offer programming and select courses to support you on your personal and professional development journey.
We also connect members with programming for small business owners, sexual harassment in the workplace workshops and offer our popular Indigenous Awareness Training, led by Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce Indigenous Engagement Director Nick Crighton.
Engage with Indigenous-owned businesses
Indigenous engagement in Saskatchewan is a priority of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce and is necessary as we pursue economic reconciliation in our province.
In 2020, we developed Saskatchewan’s first Indigenous Engagement Charter to serve as a roadmap to provide businesses with the tools to achieve engagement and assist the business community in demonstrating the role it must play in reconciliation. We are committed to supporting our members as they adopt sustainable strategies and practices to achieve meaningful Indigenous engagement within their businesses.
To help businesses find Indigenous-owned businesses in our province, we have developed an Indigenous Business Directory that features an extensive list of majority-owned Indigenous businesses. The aim of this directory is to ensure that more Indigenous-owned businesses can participate in the Saskatchewan supply chain and will allow for increased engagement between members of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce and Indigenous-owned businesses in the province.
As there cannot be reconciliation without truth – we also offer Indigenous Awareness Training. This training is designed to inform members of the business community about the culture and history of Indigenous peoples in Saskatchewan. Current courses range from Level 1 to Level 3 with advanced courses offering an in-depth look at HR practices and cultural traditions.
